Fen Farm Wedding Photography | Paula & Ed.

An absolutely stunning September day for Paula & Ed’s wedding at Fen Farm in Lincoln a Lincolnshire wedding venue Id never worked at before. Paula and Ed had the most perfect wedding ceremony at Lincoln Register Office in the City Center and it was fantastic to be asked to be their photographer. The reception venue, Fen Farm is located near Skellingthorpe just off the A46 near Lincoln, this relaxed country wedding venue was the setting for this incredible wedding day that was full of fun and laughter. Fen Farm is perfect to host a relaxed country wedding for up to 100-day guests and 140 evening guests. There is a large outside area with fantastic views over the fields to Lincoln Cathedral and one whole wall of the venue opens fully back so you can bring the outdoors inside…perfect on a hot day.

Paula & Ed were looking for natural and relaxed style wedding photography, which is exactly the way I work. I promise to not stop or pose you during any part of your wedding day. I use silent Fujifilm cameras, with small lenses to be the most discrete as I possibly can. This allows me to be part of your wedding day, acting like a guest and photograph real moments as they happen without your being bothered by your photographer. As a professional photographer, I made many compositions with my camera and lens with people smiling and taking natural unposed portraits of people and what was happening.

“We chose Nick recently to photograph our wedding at Fen Farm in Lincoln and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. We cannot recommend him enough. His friendly approach and candid style helped to capture every single moment and emotion of our Special day just perfectly… nerves… excitement… tears… love and most of all FUN and laughter.”

I’m available to photograph your Fen Farm wedding. Please get in touch to see if I am free for your day.

Paula was getting ready at Fen Farm on the morning of her wedding as they also provide accommodation through Lincoln Holiday Homes which is perfect for the night before your wedding and the wedding night itself. As I only live about 10 minutes away it was only a short drive to Fen Farm to begin with the bridal prep. Once Paula was ready with some Converse trainers instead of shoes off we went to Lincoln Registry Office. Now, this day was rather busy traffic-wise. What should have been a short 10-minute drive turned into nearly 45 minutes! And to top it off the registrar’s also got stuck in traffic pushing the ceremony back by around an hour! Once they arrived everything went very well.

After the ceremony, it was back to Fen Farm for the reception. The weather was absolutely stunning. Fabulous sunshine and warm… what more could you want! The day continued with afternoon tea, speeches, hog roast and a fabulous outdoor first dance under an amazing Lincolnshire sunset. Fen Farm is a great Lincolnshire wedding venue if your planning most of your reception to be outside.
