I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many weddings at Scrivelsby Walled Garden, and this year was just as exciting as ever. In fact, I had the privilege of shooting three weddings in the same week, one of which was Katie and Matt’s big day at one of my all-time favourite venues.

Katie found me through a friend’s recommendation, and after chatting with her and Matt, they decided to book me. I had a feeling their wedding was going to be amazing based on what they shared with me, and boy was I right! Katie did an incredible job designing and creating most, if not all, of the decor for the wedding, and everything looked stunning.

On the day of this September Wedding at Scrivelsby Walled Garden, Katie was getting ready at Lion Gate Lodge, a charming Grade II listed building that can accommodate up to four guests. It’s located right at the entrance of Scrivelsby Estate, just a stone’s throw away from the Walled Garden. It was the perfect place for her and Matt to stay after their big day.

Katie and Matt’s wedding ceremony took place at St Benedict’s Church in Scrivelsby itself. This beautiful church is located just a couple of hundred yards away over the field from the Walled Garden.

After their ceremony, it was just a short walk complete with the dog and all the guests back to the walled garden for a brilliant day complete with garden games, canapes, fun and lots of laughter.

If you are thinking about looking at Scrivesby Walled Garden for your wedding then just do it. It’s an absolutely fabulous venue and one of my favourites.

“We booked Nick for our wedding earlier in the year based on friend recommendations and he did not disappoint! With his natural, un-staged style he made the day seamless and incredibly enjoyable. Nick captured some wonderful moments allowing us to look back on the day from everyone’s different perspectives. He captured all aspects of the wedding perfectly, each photo being full of character, from the preparations in the morning to the ceremony and first dance and he even stayed past his time and captured some wonderful sparkler shots too. Thanks again Nick, you’ve made our special day last forever!”
