THATCH BARN WEDDING, YELLING.
KATY & MICHEAL
A glorious day for Katy and Micheal’s wedding at the fabulous Thatch Barn in Yelling, Cambridgeshire, a venue I’ve not been to before. Micheal was an old friend from my days working in London and it was great to hear from him especially when he asked me to photograph his wedding to Katy.
As Wedding Venues in St Neots go, the Thatch Barn in Yelling is a stunning 400-year-old, Grade II listed, thatched barn wedding venue that has been totally refurbished. The barn itself is beautiful, with original 400-year-old oak beams spanning the width of the building and emphasising the enormous vaulted, beamed roof.
The glazed oak entrance allows light to flood in whilst the slotted windows are all subtly glazed.
“Nick captured our special day in April this year and we chose Nick due to his natural style. We wanted a photographer we wouldn’t notice on the day and Nick blended in perfectly with our guests, capturing hundreds of photographs for us to enjoy. Our photographs were even ready within a couple of weeks! Thanks again to Nick for helping us remember our special day!.”
Katy & Micheal
With Bridal prep taking place at Katy’s parent’s house it was then just a very short drive to the local village Church for their ceremony. On completion, it was then onto the Thatch Barn for a brilliant reception followed by celebrations well into the evening.
And here’s some images from the day!
